See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A modern pub built in the 1970s after the original thatched building burnt down. The pub sits back from the road behind the car park, with a large garden to the right. The main bar is L-shaped with a wood burning stove. The fireplace is the only part left of the original building. A small room to the right of the door is used for dining and functions. The pub now has its own microbrewery with a range of beers usually available on the bar. The brewery is located in a building behind the pub and has a capacity of 300 litres. The first brew was produced in June 2017. There are two standard beers. Beers are brewed exclusively for sale in the Crown. Production is governed by the demand in the pub, at present brewing takes place weekly. All beer is put into casks, normally 7 firkins per brew. Two Saxby's ciders were available on handpump at the last visit.
