  • Branch Meeting 2 Thursday 9 July 2026 19:00 Pilgrim's Progress

    Branch business meeting to review our campaigning and what's happening at local pubs and breweries. To be held in a conference room at The Pilgrim's Progress Hotel, Midland Road, Bedford. All CAMRA members welcome.

    Meet in the pub bar at 18:45 to buy drinks before we take the hotel lift to the conference room on the second floor. Members who arrive late should report to hotel reception, which will direct you to the conference room.

    The State of UK Brewing Industry Speaker Paul Wells

    Paul is Chairman of Wells and Co. and joined Charles Wells in the early 80’s. He is a former Master of the Worshipful Company of Brewers and a former Chair of the Independent Family Brewers of Britain.

    He will give us his take on the State of the UK brewing industry and then there will be an opportunity for Q&A. Numbers are limited to 24 so please book early via ku.gro.armac.sdebhtron@slaicos

  • CycAle Trip Aug 8th Saturday 8 August 2026 13:30 Priory Marina

    Bike in beer headBedford CycAle Join us on Saturday 8 August for a relaxed countryside cycle pub tour through Bedford’s eastern villages. We will meet at Priory Marina at 1.30pm before heading out on a roughly 11–12 mile circular route using quiet lanes and riverside cycleways. Planned pub stops are:

    The Crown Public House; The Anchor Inn; Five Bells; The Kings Arms; The Wellington Arms; The Devonshire Arms.

    The route will finish back at Priory Marina later in the afternoon or early evening. The ride is intended to be sociable rather than strenuous, with plenty of time for refreshments and conversation. All cyclists welcome, but please ensure your bike is roadworthy and bring appropriate safety equipment.
