A single journey between any two Marston Vale Line stations costs just £1 for adults and 50p for children. This offers a discount of up to 90% on the usual fare. Symbol Spot
A new Marston Vale Line Symbol Spot Trail, in association with Mini Map Makers, will be available when purchasing child train tickets at Bedford, Bletchley and Milton Keynes Central stations or when visiting Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre during normal opening hours with a valid train ticket.
The Marston Vale Line is the first in the country to have a Symbol Spot along its route.
The aim is to spot a host of symbols along the line, including letters, numbers, shapes, map symbols, signs and rail safety items. Children will produce rubbings in their booklets of the symbols located at each station and the set at Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre.
Symbol Spot isn't just for children, adults can learn too, A ‘Strip Map’ of the Line has been produced.

This is great news! Took my children on a train ride this afternoon and my boys were so excited to get a toot from the train driver!!
Did Almost full length of line a few days ago and conductor did not leave back cab at all to collect fares, those who we through to Bletchley paid at barrier, those doing intermediate journeys got away without paying at all.
This is good news it has really helped as we have used it for some independent school runs at 50p a journey its amazing value too 😊

Unfortunately the 'phone lines have been down at Ridgmont Station Heritage Centre today due to a fault. This should be fixed in the next couple of days.

The Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF) have announced industrial action involving a ban on overtime from Monday 6th to Saturday 11th May.
Unfortunately there will be no train service on the Marston Vale Line during the period of industrial action.
A full Rail Replacement Bus Service (all stations & limited stop) will be in operation except Wednesday 8th May when there are no services on the London Northwestern Railway network due to strike action.

There will also be no train service on the Abbey Line (Watford Junction – St Albans Abbey) during the industrial action. A Rail Replacement Bus Service will be in operation.

The full train service will resume on Monday 13th May.
